Hello my sweet Strawberry Shortcakes,
Time literally FLIES! It’s almost Easter!! Like already this Monday!! WHAT THE?!! I’m in shock really… I’ll need to change my decoration this weekend :p. What are your plans for this upcoming weekend?
Aside from that, how has your week been so far? I’m actually pretty tired from the activities I did in the weekend. Tired, but definitely very satisfied and hungry for more… In the meantime, this granny here also discovered Snapchat… The thing was that up until now, I had a Samsung J5 which didn’t hold enough memory to add this app. Now that I have a new smartphone, the world is no longer safe for me and my vewy cute pictures, muhahahah! Specially for you (and totally in the theme of Easter):….
Okay, my friends, on to some serious stuff now: how to do a colorful green turquoise eye look, using again the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Brushes pallet. I’m telling you, this pallet gives me the feeling I’m riding a unicorn in Inspiration land! I can’t stop creating!!
- As always, I’m starting off by applying a nice blended wash of a neutral beige brown on the eye. Here, I went for MFEO entirely on the eyelid, especially blended out in the crease and around it.
- As I have small eyes, I like to use a smaller blending brush to apply the colorful transition shade Jada (a matt green like turquoise). I start packing it on the outer side of the eye and softly blend inwards. This way, the most intense color will be on the outside and fade nicely towards the inside.
- I then pack on the outer half of the eye, the shade DIVA with my ring finger (just because it’s fast, easy and pigmented when I do so).
- On the inner, I go in with this gorgeous juicy, exotic turquoise shade that’s called Pool Party. You could use a flat shader brush to pack it on. I just like to use my finger (less brushes to clean).
- It’s now time to line the eyes with liner and set it with Abyss (the deep matt black from the pallet).
- By now you know that I first finish the rest of the face, before I move on to the rest of the eye. Why, you say? To avoid fall out. You can read all about it here. I now apply a brow bone highlight, here Enlight.
- I’m lining the lower lashline with on the outer half the shade DIVA and on the inner half the shade Pool Party. I tie everything together by adding the beautiful highlighter Beam in the inner corners of the eyes.
- & 9. Let’s curl them lashes and give them a delicious coat of mascara!!
And here’s the finished look friends:
You already know this by heart, but I’ll write it down just in case :p
- Primer: Skindinavia The Makeup Primer Spray
- Foundation: Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation 24H (in 010)
- Concealer: Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer
- Setting powder: RCMA No-color Powder (only under the eyes, around the nose, forehead and chin)
- Brows: FREEDOM PRO HD Brow Palette Medium Dark
- Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter: Catrice California in a Box (Bronzer & Blush) Palette
- Lips: Cozz Cosmetics lip balm
- Setting Spray: Catrice Prime and Fine Dew Glow Fixing Spray
I hope you’re not getting tired of these Jaclyn Hill looks, because I still have some more to come. Are there any pallets you’d like me to create looks for? I know I often go for the same style of looks. But I usually choose looks that I wear to work, so obviously I then create looks that look good on me :p. That also explains why I don’t often do cut creases. I like creating them for the sake of practice. But I personally don’t feel like it looks flattering on me…

Enjoy the rest of your week friends and I’ll talk to you on Sunday!!
